JAWS not announcing attachments in Outlook Express

Hi all,
 
Outlook Express 6.00.2900 and JAWS 9.0.
 
JAWS does not announce when a message has an attachment while in the list
view so there is no way of knowing that one exists unless I check for one
after opening the message.  For some reason, I am not able to label the
attachment graphic; JAWS just says "the JAWS cursor isn't on a graphic".
Any ideas?
