JAWS has stopped talking to me. How do I get it to open its mouth?

A bit ago JAWS stopped talking to me.  I am a sighted user of JAWS, who uses JAWS for database testing at work.  I know that if I press the Control key that that has the effect of shutting up JAWS.  But, I don't think I did that.  I have tried shutting down JAWS twice now and JAWS still isn't talking to me.  The cursor lets me know that the program is still functioning.  Does anyone have any ideas as to how to coax JAWS to speak?

Thanks for your help. Back to trying to coax JAWS to speak.

Peace be with you,

Patty
