I had no trouble with the web site using Jaws 6 with IE 6 and windows Xp on a 2 ghz system and 512 mb of ram. however, when I tried the web site using Jaws 5.1 on the same computer, speech would fade in and out until a minute or so and then jaws quits acting flakey. maybe some settings need to be changed. I do not know, but just want to confirm that I had some problem with the site. later on I will try the site on another computer John ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jimmy Ballard" <jimballard@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, January 04, 2005 3:11 PM Subject: Re: JAWS going silent on the web > When I go to www.imcpl.org speech locks up. > Jim > > > At 10:10 PM 1/3/2005, you wrote: > >>I have this problem with my Windows XP home edition and JAWS 5.0 and 5.10. >>TerriLynne >> >>ptusing@xxxxxxxxxxxxx wrote: >>Hi, >>Am using Outlook Express 6 and JAWS 6 and the messages or whatever one >>is >>doing using emails simply go silent. >>There is nothing one can do but wait until the speech comesback as it >>will. >>JAWS iss till loaded. >>Using X P. >>-- >>To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx >>To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to >>jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line. >>Archives located at: //www.freelists.org/archives/jfw >> >>If you have any concerns about the list, post received from the list, or >>the way the list is being run, do not post them to the list.
