Hello,
I am setting up a workstation that will be using JAWS professional
version 10.0.1178 and ZoomText 9.18.7.16. I have configured all of the
settings according to our user's specifications. However, there is one
thing that I don't understand and I was wondering if somebody could
help.
Since the screen is magnified 3x in ZoomText any time a word
document is opened only part of it is viewable at a time. Whenever I
use any of the JAWS commands like say all or say next sentence the
cursor does not move along with the what is being read until I issue the
next "say next sentence" or "say next line" command. Since ZoomText is
set up to follow the cursor or mouse, a lot of times JAWS will be
reading text that is not visible on the screen.
The user of this computer wants to view the text at the same time as
JAWS reads it. Unfortunately this person is not around for me to
consult with and I want this to work right once they get the computer.
The only way around this that I can find is to make the Word document
narrow enough that there is no text that is too far right or left to be
viewed. Does anybody know if I am missing some setting in JAWS or
ZoomText that would allow the automatic tracking of the text?
Thanks for your help.
