I don't know if this will help but when this happens to me I press jaws key,
control and the letter F for the find function. I type a word I know exists in
the article or paper I want to read and press enter. If it is an article you
want, it probably starts with HTTP. If this doesn't work I hit control End or
E in the six pack to go to the bottom of the article. I get back to the top by
using control up arrow a bunch of times. This is probably not the most
scientific solution but it works for me. Judith

  Subject: JAWS and Properties screens

  Hello Everyone!

I am new to this list and hope this isn't a stupid question. I can't get
JAWS to read a Properties screen for me! If I browse to a file by double
clicking the My Computer icon, then right-click on the file, then click on
"Properties", JAWS will not read the entire screen for me. I have tried TAB
(which just goes over the checkable options like 'hidden'), CTR+TAB (with no
effect), and even tried the JAWS cursor by pressing the "-" sign on the num
pad. The JAWS cursor will read the name of the file, but if I move down to try
the rest of the screen it gets stuck on the task bar. All I can do at this
point is press the "+" on the num pad to go back to regular JAWS. I have JAWS
v9 and Windows XP. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks so much for your help!

  Jerry White
