Hi Chip. I maximized the screen and that helped a bit. Part of the problem might not be Jaws, but my unfamiliarity with Jaws and This particular type of editing. Should I just be able to type within the edit field? When deleting the row, Jaws spoke sporadically as I was deleting character by character. Will hitting enter stop the editing or take me to the next line. Jaws did not indicate either. Thank you very much. Eric. ________________________________ From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Chip Orange Sent: Tuesday, August 05, 2008 3:38 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: JAWS and Editing in Word Hi Eric, Could you download the jaws 9 demo and try it out? I can't think of any reason you should have this kind of difficulty, so I was wondering if this is a bug they've fixed. Having you try jaws 9 is the only way, unless someone here can confirm that 7 had such a bug, that I can think of. Did you check to make sure the Word windows was maximized? There are drop down boxes and edit fields within the tables. I have figured out using Jaws how to set the drop down boxes. I am not able to figure out how to use the edit fields. When I hit enter and start typing, the text seems to go in. If I want to add something later, Jaws cannot see the original text I typed in earlier. I also cannot seem to add anything and find the original text. Any help in using edit fields in a Word table would be most appreciated. I am using Jaws 7 and Word 2003. Thanks. Eric.
