Guy, Does JAWS go completely silent or does it simply not read as you move the left and right arrow keys in the formula being edited forcing you to read the current character or word to find out where you are? If it is the latter, I had the same problem using JFW 7.0 but it was 1 of the issues that apparently got resolved in 7.1. Have you tried editing a formula using the latest update of 7.1? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a PRIVATE message. To edit and amend a formula I press F2 to enter the formula bar. I then cursor through with JAWS announcing each character. However once I have made the first amendment i.e. replaced a cell reference JAWS becomes silent!!!! I cannot remember previous versions of JAWS experiencing the same problem to this degree. Is there a far more effective way to use JAWS 7.0 to undertake this task? Any help would be appreciated. Guy
