I purchased an SMA at the time that I bought version 6.0 and I believe that
I had to request the CD but it was at no charge. Before 7.0 was released
there was an announcement on the FS website that the 7.0 CD would be mailed
to automatically to all SMA holders by a certain date. I did not recieve
the CD as expected and in the meantime I downloaded 7.0. I then requested a
CD for the one I didn't get and eventually got two of them.
For intermediate upgrades it appears that you are expected to download as
you already should have a CD containing the same material, possibly even the
7.0 program that you already have. If you request a CD you will have to pay
for it.
Because you paid for the SMA you should request a CD at no charge.
Just discovered that SMA was good. Frankly I thought I wasn't eligible, so never got it, but recently called FS about the maintance agreement, and paid for the upgrade, but they said I could get version 7 then and did not have to pay right away, although I did anyway. So now what?
