I'm experiencing the same thing here--first word in body of new message is
read before the from and subject lines.
I can modify this behaviour by tapping the control key and stopping speech
prior to hitting the delete key. If I do this, the new or next message is
read properly. It almost seems like an issue where the speech buffering
has not emptied before the new message is loaded--kind of like Jaws is
getting ahead of itself...or maybe it's really anxious to tell us about
the next message!!!

I found initially JAWS 8 was fine but when I use it on outlook express and
I am reading a message I notice upon hitting the delete key I hear the

deleted followed by the first word of the text of the new message then the
new message is read from beginning to end, however every single time I hit
the delete key I hear the first word of the next message prior to having
