Hi, Some of the bugs below seem to exist in JAWS 8 Demo, as well: Any application - When tabing from control to another, and then immediately pressing a arrowor another key, that latter key is ignored making a beep. Similarly, if you press the up arrow key and then very rapidly the down arrow (or vice versa), again JAWS beeps, but moves the cursor.
Outlook Express 6.0 - When using Hotmail account, and you delete a message in messages list, JAWS 7.10 says the just deleted message, instead of that which becomes active. - When changing from one user account to another (through the File menu / Change user account), JAWS doesn'tread aloud nor display on braille the contents of messages on that latter account. I
have not checked the check box "Show all messages as plain text" from OEsettings. Quite often, this happens also without changin the user account, i.e. if you delete a message while it is open, the next message sould be readable, but JAWS only reads the header information.
- OE has crashed twice since the installation of JAWS 7.10.500 when changing user accounts from the File menu. This has happened when that new user account contains Hotmail folders. This occurred, when Internet Explorer 7 was installed. installed.
Internet Explorer 6.0 and possibly other HTML apps Document presentation set to "simple layout" in JAWS- JAWS adds an extra space to the beginning of certain lines which follow a link.
- JAWS exceeds the maximum line length in certain situations, and adds an empty line after that.
- In the virtual pc cursor mode, the radio button ( )/(*) and check box [ ]/[*] symbols are not shown in braille
- JAWS adds extra empty lines in certain situations, when there is a <br> tag, or some table elements in a HTML document
- Occasionally, braille does not follow to the Save dialog or the modal windows opened by Javascript, etc.
- After activating a "this page link", JAWS repeats the number of links and some other elements on that page, instead of just jumping to the position that the link refers to.
- The non-whitespace characters that are immediately following ending </a> tag, are separated on different lines. The non-whitespace characters _immediately_ adjacent to <a>, <b>, <i>, <u>, and possibly other so-called inline elements should _never_ be separated from these elements. Example:
<a ...>Cat</a>s _should_ be presented as: Cats Instead of: Cat s- When "links with graphics" is set to "labeled", and you tab through a Web page, JAWS still stops at non-labeled graphical links. Example:
http://www.edgarcayce.fi/- On some Web pages containing tables, you cannot navigate through the cells vertically. An example of such problematic table (titled "Uusia tuotteita") is at:
http://www.ryytihyppynen.fi/products_new.php (I'm sorry the sample pages are in Finnish.) - When moving between multiple IE windows, JAWS occasionally looses the content of some of those windows.- JAWS looses its position, when a web page has been loaded on a separate browser window. To reproduce:
1. Open a new browser window with Ctrl+N. 2. Start loading a new page with CtrlO/Ctrl+L on this second window. 3. While the new page is loading on the background, return to the first browser window. 4. Now you are in the first browser window, and the new page of the second browser window is still loading on the background. 5. When the new page has been loaded, and it is ready to browse it, JAWS looses its position in the first window, thus the active one.I have reported FS of these bugs, and hope they will release a 7.10.xx update as soon as possible.
By the way, what do you think is more important to FS: to make better screen reader or make more money? :-(
