The problem that I am experiencing can be described as follows. When = I am in the Start Menu in Windows, and I scroll up or down with the arrow ke= ys on the keyboard, the braille display does not display the menu item tha= t has focus. For example, if I am on the "Programs" item, and I scroll d= own to the "Documents" item, the braille display still shows "Programs". I= f I press the down arrow key again, the braille display still shows "Progra= ms" instead of changing to "Settings" which is the item that has focus. Strangely enough, when I come to the "Run..." item, the braille display= changes and shows the correct item. The braille display does not respo= nd appropriately in other applications too. However, JAWS speech works perfectly in both the Start Menu and other applications where the brail= le display is faulty. I have tried the folowing, but each time was not successful in solving = the problem: * changing the display settings (effects, colours and resolution), * changing the display card, * connecting the braille display via a com/serial port, * uninstalling and re-installing JAWS, and * installing the patch for JAWS 4.51.121 which is available on the web site. If anyone has experienced the same problem, or if you have a solution, = can you please help me. I look forward to hearing from you.
