Internet explorer icon

Somehow in the past week I have removed the internet explorer icon from my 
desktop. If someone could tell me how to put it back I would appreciate it 
very much. I have looked around but I cain't find how to do it. I can get 
into the internet without any problems but I perfer using the internet 
explorer icon.  Would greatly appreciate any help.
