Agree. Most often my frustration is in typing a navigation key in that area and find that I'm entering text into one of the search or address fields. Then I have to hit Escape and start tabbing again. I do like Tom's suggestion of Alt-d and then shift tab. Maybe I was not clear enough, but this can be done when you are within the virtual document; I mean within the web page document content. For example if you are in address bar and you type letter h, that will be written. what i want is to first jump to the main document, and then what you have stated applies. ----- Original Message ----- From: jerry martin To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, October 19, 2010 3:24 PM Subject: Re: Internet Explorer: is there a shortcut key to jump directly to the main document? You can press the "H" letter until you hear the heading that you are looking for. ----- Original Message ----- From: Hamid Hamraz To: jfw list Sent: Tuesday, October 19, 2010 5:51 AM Subject: Internet Explorer: is there a shortcut key to jump directly to the main document? Hi folks, In IE or Firefox, I sometimes need to tab around various stuff above the main document such as toolbars, address bar, etc, until I reach the main document; where the virtual PC cursor is available. Is there a shortcut key to jump directly to it? Cheers! Hamid
