I have been looking at the WAIK kit, that includes the Windows image tool. Takes some time getting used to if you have not tried it before, especially editing fields is complecated. Is there a better simpler and faster way to create the file with the unattended commands?

Hi,
you need to download the Microsoft Tool which is called system image manager. 
You then create an Autounattended installation file.
I have one of these that works but it is different for the 32 and 64 bit versions of Windows 7 but seems to be the same as the Vista ones.
Maybe I could take out the confidential details e.g. the serial number and send it along but it is a bit fiddle to edit things out as it is an XML file. mMaybe you could try a utility like VLITE I think it is to create your file. That is a free download and I think that others have found it to be accessible but I am sure that someone else can comment on this.

Just wondering if anyone here knows how to install win7
without sited assistance. That is, is there a series of
keystrokes that will get to the gui part of the install
where narrator can be started or do I need to go through
