Alan, Usually no problem adding newer version on top of older versions. However with the introduction of JAWS 10 they changed the video intercept strategy from Video Chain Manager (VCM) to Display Chaining Manager (DCM) and I had no end of serious problems when I tried to install JAWS 9 after JAWS 10. Since you've already installed JAWS 11 you are using the DCM and your JAWS 9 may not work properly when installed after JAWS 11 (VCM after DCM). I would recommend that if you really want JAWS 9, then do the following: 1. Set a restore point. 2. Back up the enu folder in both the user and shared folders. 3. Completely remove JAWS 11 including shared components. 4. Install JAWS 9 5. Reboot and make sure it works. 6. Install JAWS 11. If something goes wrong, you may need to have FS help over the phone to clean out your registry while you use Narrator for speech, or have sighted help. It was a nasty process for me. Or just don't bother with JAWS 9 now. After my Windows Operating System crash, and a "reinstall" which wiped my main "Systems Drive" clean, I reinstalled JAWS 11, latest updated, but now I found my JAWS 9 disk, and I also want 2 JAWS versions on my computer, as I have always had going way back to JAWS 3.3. Any problem with reinstalling an older version of JAWS when you have a more current one already installed? I bet you might think this a silly question, well you will get a lot of those from me, sorry! I never remove a previous version until I have two versions higher installed, and both working very well. I always allow myself to run the older version if there should be some unwanted "feature" or bug in the new version. For example, I still have both JAWS 9 and JAWS 11 on this machine with JAWS 12 and am currently back to using JAWS 11 until FS fixes some problems with Outlook 2007 calendar. Just my suggestion. When I started the uninstalation process I got the choices to uninstal jaws only or uninstal jaws and shared components. Which one shall I choose? Many thanks. Zdenek
