Hello Will,
Thank you for your FS info, however, my problem is not that I do not know
how to hit alt and N and get to the information bar, the problem is that
there is a flaw here and the information bar is not there.
Take care,
John

Here is a bulletin from the FS page on how to get to the info bar.
How can I access the Internet Explorer Information Bar introduced in Windows
XP Service Pack 2? (08/26/2004)
Details of Selected Bulletin
Bulletin Type: FAQ
Date Posted: 08/26/2004
Product Name: JAWS
Version: 5.0 plus
Category: Internet Explorer
Question:
How can I access the Internet Explorer Information Bar introduced in Windows
XP Service Pack 2?
Answer:
Service Pack 2 for Windows XP adds a new feature to Internet Explorer called
the Information Bar. The Information Bar appears below the address bar and
provides information about downloads, blocked pop-up windows, and other
activities. This helps you avoid potentially harmful files that you might
otherwise
download from the Internet.
A sound plays when the Information Bar appears. To move to and read the
Information Bar, press ALT+N. You can then press the SPACEBAR to open the
Information
Bar menu. You can press ESC to hide the Information Bar and return to the
page you were viewing. These are Windows keyboard shortcuts and are not
exclusive
to JAWS.
For a complete description of the Information Bar, refer to the appropriate
section in the Internet Explorer Help system.

Subject: Information Bar and Active X controls
Hello All,
As usual, I have an interesting problem. I go to my start menu, then to
windows update and when the page comes up, it says the page cant be properly
loaded and i need to install the active x controls and to right the
information bar and click install active x controls. I hit alt and N to get
to the bar, but there is not one.
I have had sighted help look to see and there is no information bar. I even
had a tech here in Florida use a remote server to access my PC and look at
it and he too says there is no bar and I just do not know what to do. Can I
download these controls elsewhere. Help!
Take care,
John
