Whereas my wife is very short, I have the air bags disconnected to prevent
her from serious injury, but that is a different issue.
I too have read comparisons and AVG does not come out any worse than other
programs, but I guess perhaps few comparisons are totally unbiased.
For me, this is the end of he issue.

I have read comparisons. I didn't keep track of where they were, but AVG
tends to rate poorly. Would you buy a car who's air bags deployed fifty
percent of the time on the grounds that you've never had a serious accident
yet so you're safe?
