Avg free updates frequently. AVG is user friendly for the blind. AVG runs in the background. Oh, and unlike Nod32, it is free. This software is absolutely the best thing there is, because of the following... *it updates itself several times a day. In 2007, you absolutely must have an antivirus solution that keeps itself up-to-date as often as possible, and Nod 32 does that without going overboard. You can turn this on in the preferences. *the program's interface is kind of confusing at first, because admittedly the key command for accessing the controls is a bit non-standard, control plus tab gets you into them, but once you get past that, it's fine. Plus when installing it, do a custom instalation, and make sure the graphical interface is disabled. You can turn this off in the options, but it's a little harder to get to it if you've never seen it before. Like I said though, once you get around that, it is completely screenreader friendly with both JAWS and Window-eyes. *the program just works. It runs in the background, it won't slow down your computer, it's lightweight and not all bulky like some of the other programs out there *cough* norton anyone? But to me, NOD 32 is the best one out there for an antivirus program. You'll pay a bit of money but it's worth every buck. There are several good anti-virus packages out there, my personal favorite is Nod32 from www.nod32.com. Extremely accessible and highly-rated. Can you tell me why you don't think AVG is trustworthy? Most people I talk to about it say it's good. And very accessible to Jaws. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
