That stinks :(...
Because there are some songs that are really hard to find on there... Plus I got like $30 in gift cards to ITunes... So I want to spend those...
I wish it was as easy buying music as it is to buy Kindle books... :(
Thanks,

I couldn't figure out the store, either. But since it would start costing me money if I succeeded, I figured it was just as well to not work too hard to
figure it out.

I think the store interface is extremely JAWS-unfriendly.

Hello,
So I just installed ITunes and made an account, but I can't seem to find the
store anywhere.
I have the ITunes store selected in the combo box, and typed in my search
terms, but tabbing around I don't see any place to look at song names or
artist names.
Do I need to search then select a style? Or how do I read the store!
Thank you,

Point well taken. I downloaded winamp and used it for a while. It works
very well with jaws and it is a very full media player. But frankly,
didn't like it a bit. Its just another good program that I won't use. lol.
But like I said, I like my music mobile. I don't listen to music on my
computer that often. I mostly use my iPod to listen to all of my media.
Also, on iTunes you can ask it to put all of your music and movies on one
folder on whatever place you want. So you can have everything under your
finger sort of speak. But like I said, each to its own. I am just pointing
out that iTunes is very accessible with jaws and just because the
interface is not what you will expect from a windows program it doesn't
mean it won't work. One thing you need to rememeber is that iTunes is made by apple, and if you had the chance to play around with a MAC recently you
will know that Apple is totally different from windows in all aspects.

It's not that the software is complicated...it's just stupid, in my view.
Anyway, that was certainly a well considered reply and I hope users of
ITunes such as yourself are making useful and worthy suggestions to Apple
as to how they can improve their products, in terms of accessibility and
otherwise. It's mostly the "otherwise" stuff that I have issue with,
which makes me abhore Apple and their ideas, so I guess this is best left
off the list anyway.
I've found Winamp to be the most robust, adaptable, useful and quick
media software. I don't want my media player to download anything or be
responsible for anything other than playing media. I like my programmes
to be self-contained...seems a lot less problematic that way and perhaps
even Freedom Scientific could learn from this example, as others on the
list were theorising recently. I also appreciate programmes that adhere
to the standard windows folder system for storage and categorisation and
don't try to dictate how I should organise my collection. I definitely
don't appreciate how my dad can't even send me a gift of a song without
me downloading Apple's programme, when compression algorithms should be
open to all and there's no reason at all for Apple to use some
proprietary format/protection scheme...but that's just their way, hence I
will never buy or support this company in any form.

People, it seems that we all have very different experiences on iTunes
with
jaws. Frankly, I use an iPod and I am in the process of getting a iPhone
4G.
So, on that regard I have no other "legal" choice. Sure, I can jailbreak
my
IOS device which is not technically illegal to use it with other program,
but I found that doing so damages the device.

I have used windows media player, real media player and winamp and I find
them very complicated, very loaded, or they don't have enough features
respectively. iTunes is in my homble opinion one of the best media
players
around. Sure, somethings can and they most be improved, but comparing
with
just a couple of years ago the program is very accessible.

I also like to have things mobile and since the iPod touch has build in
accessibility, what better choice for a mobile media player.

People say that boththe interface of iTunes and its companions, iPod,
iPhone
and iPad are very complicated, but I have found that first, people don't
read the manual or they don't put the enough effort to learn a new way of
doing things. Since they don't do what I just said, they say that is
compolicated, hard to use or inaccessible.

Now, there are some people that do the effort to learn something new.
They
try the product and they still don't like it. Well then, good for you.
Programs and interfaces are not made one size fits all, but one size fits
most. If you don't like it, there are better options out there.

My messege from all this ranting is first, try it. Second, read the
manual
and third, expect changes for good or for worse. But keep trying, you may learn something. Besides, most programs have a "send suggestions" page or
e-mail. Send them a suggestion. Maybe for a future release they may
implement it.

Sorry for all this ranting.

positive
results.

Dear Friends,
Well, I have to add my 2 cents.
I could not use "Itunes" with JAWS 11, latest build and my XP machine.
And even after having 2 sighted fairly computer technically inclined
people
try to help me on two separate occasions, I still could not use it, to
put
some music on this Itunes "Shuffle", and either could they!

So My Hats off to those using the thing!

20,000 songs!!!!!!!!!! Man! Now that's a lot!!! I only have 9,000.
Maybe that is it. I suggest if you can upgrade your RAM to 3 or 4
GB.
It will improve iTunes with jaws. And it will improve your
computting
experience overall.

iTunes is not a pain. I use it dailly. In fact, I am using it right
now.
Here, this is a link for a 2 part tutorial on iTunes. The second
part
comes
out this month so keep an eye open.

http://www.freedomscientific.com/FSCast/default.asp

A list of different podcast will appear. Select the december 2010
episode. I
believe it is episode 49. Listen to it. You will learn a lot. Don't
dispair!
Once you learn to use iTunes you will like it. Also, if you plan to
use
or
buy an iPod, iPhone or iPad (or any combination of those devices)
you
will
need iTunes.

you are not the only one. But, I suggest you take out any and all
non
essential icons. e.g. if you don't use tv shows, take it out. I
also
suggest you maintain all itunes media on the itunes folder. Not on
your
usual music folder. iTunes needs to check every tag and it slows
thing
down.
For example, I have all of my music on one folder on my external
hardrive,
and I also have there my movies. so it doesn't matter what happens,
itunes
only has 1 place to look and download material. other than that I
suggest
you double the minimum requirements. for example, if itunes needs 1
GB
of
ram to play music, bring it up to 2 or 3. that way itunes will have
almost
unlimited ram to do whatever it wants.

Hi all i'm new to this list, new to jfw and new to itunes. I run
jfw

and recently installed itunes 10, since then i've realised that
jaws
is
slow to respond when i press something. This aspecially happens
when
i'm
navigating around in itunes and sometimes it.'s even slower to
respond
than others. Is this normal or can i do something to fix it?
