The trick is that I rarely see an information bar notification to test.

  John,

IF that's the case, and you're using IEMax (like I am) then it would be a
simple matter to change Alt+n in the IEMax keyboard Manager to something else,
and then recreate Alt+n from the original IEframe keyboard scripts as a new
keystroke.

If I get some time this week, I'll see if I can figure that out.

    Now I'm not so sure.
Looking in the IEMax documentation, alt+n gives a page name without the
pass through key.
I think that alt+n is an internet explorer key that works only when the
information bar is active in conjunction with the pass through key.
    I couldn't test that.

      John,

SO you're saying that the Alt+n keystroke is not a JAWS keystroke, but a
Windows keystroke?

OK so what to do so that Alt+n continues to work in IEMax? or better
yet how to deactivate IEMax altogether? Using Jaws10 if it helps any.

Is that a script by Jamal Mazrui? I think I tried it out and didn't
like it because it conflicted some keys.

I answered my own question by looking at internet explorer help.

            Using the Information bar

The following table describes shortcuts used with the Information

Oops. I guess it was alt+n. I need to find a web site that will
test this. Is this a Jaws key or IE key?

When you hear the sound for the information bar, Press alt+x.
Then press spacebar or context key for a menu of choices. I do not know why it
takes two steps. I think it's altx. Now I don't remember. Think I can find
this in Jaws help? Nope!

                  Hello everybody,

How can I get to the information bar to perform an action?
I'm using J11, xp service pack 3 and IE max is installed.

                  Any help will be appreciated.

                  Thanks
