Hi,
I am using IE9 with Jaws 12.
And just to tell you, it also works with Jaws 11, as one of my friend has tried. Coming to your problem of run or save button, actually it is happening because the file download dialogue comes in the same window where your page is opened like how we get chats in Skype 5 in default view. In order to navigate faster to such buttons, once you have clicked on the download link, wait for your page to load, then just go to address bar and then press shift tab, you will be getting cancel and if you do more shift tab, you will be getting the other buttons. Basically just explore that area. Please note, that J 12 does not speak the status bar in IE9, and nor does it speak the percentage when the page is loading. However, when the run save dialogue comes, if you press insert page down it should speak something simillar to show you that download dialogue has been opened. I have not faced other problems with IE9, however on some of the pages it speaks extra element information.
Hope the answer helps you in solving the problem.
Regards,
Amar Jain.

Well I have just found major problems when downloading a program,
buttons etc are not navigatable.

The run and save option etc buttons even with the jaws cursor.

How can you get back to IE8 with windows seven?

Regards

Graham

Hi,

I had thought about doing just that. But since it is the weekend, I
thought I would pick the brains of other fellow listers. just to see
what they had to say about it.

My guess would be that only jaws 12 will work with it. But if I find
out differently, I will let the list know.

Thanks.

Richard,

What does Freedom Scientific have to say? I'd think they would be the
experts on whether any version of JAWS would work with IE9. If you want
speculation, then of course continue to monitor messages from the list.

Go to the experts when discussing a non-released OS or application.

Hi,
Microsoft will release the much-anticipated Internet Explorer 9 on March 14.
It will be available to Vista and 7 users. It will not run on Windows XP.

I believe that many have tried and tested the beta version. I am using jaws
12 on an windows 7 32 bit machine.

Is it worth upgrading to?
Looking for comments and suggestions. More than likely I will hold off
upgrading for now, but who knows.

Thanks in advance.

Rich
