Hi Rick,
What you describe has always been my experience, which is that JAWS doesn't
land on web pages consistently. I've made a habit of pressing control-home
each time I go to a new page to ensure I begin at the top. That way, as you
seem to agree, I'm always oriented. With familiar pages, I then know how to
get where I want.

Hi,
When I use IE a lot of the time JAWS will start reading somewhere on the page
other than the top. Sometimes it will start reading the page then other times
it won't and sometimes JAWS will say how many links and frames and headers are
on a page and other times it won't
I have JAWS set to not skip over links on pages, so it should start at the
top everytime. Does anyone have any suggestions for a fix on this? Or is this
just JAWS being normal. I have had the problem on other computers and on JAWS
7 and 6.2, 6.1 and 6.0
Thanks for any help.
Rick
