No. Right click the internet icon and enter on browse without add-ons. Alternatively there's an icon for Internet Explorer (no add-ons) under All Programs, Accessories, System Tools. This is assuming you're using the XP/Vista start menu rather than the classic.

Gerald, next time, run IE without add-ons and see if www.radioshack.com opens.

In my case, I had problems loading certain web pages with IE 8. For instance, whenever I tried to load the Radio Shack home page, an error dialog would pop up with a message that IE had encountered a problem and needed to close. This happened in normal mode as well as compatibility mode. Activating the Okay button in this dialog caused IE to close and reopen on my default home page. I never had this problem with IE 7 or Firefox. Also, embedded Real Player audio would not play in IE 8. Again, no problem with IE 7. I reported the Real Player issue to MS last September when I was beta testing IE 8, but they basically shrugged it off and never bothered to address it. The editor of Talking Computers magazine, an audio podcast magazine for blind computer users is quite upset over the Real Player issue, because their web site relies on embedded Real Player audio to access the various menu options. So I'll wait awhile before trying IE 8 again.

It would really be helpful if those of you who have switched back to 7 would explain why you did this. Just saying IE 8 has some issues which made it
not quite ready for prime-time, isn't really helpful.
