Skim with an M was either a typo or misunderstanding. It is skin, as in "Gimme some skin." I think skins are how an interface presents itself. Maybe there's one that looks like a leopard skin pillbox hat. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Yardbird" <yardbird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi Jerry,
What's the skim when you're talking about an antivirus program? Is it a
default setting for checking only certain areas of your hard drive and
moving on to the next, sort of a quick or partial scan? I don't have a
setting like that in AVG Free Edition.

Thanks.

Hello everyone. I have been using my Windows Vista computer for a
month and I am using JAWS 9. I have the Norton antivirus installed
temporarily and my 60-day trial is running out. I will be installing Avast
and I want to know how you turn the skim off and how you configure it to
your computer. Thank you.
