I have not had much occasion to work in Word XP at home however, this week I have been writing some and discovered some of the problems some of you have encountered. When I went to alt V and toolbars I discovered that several toolbars were turned on that I did not need. Turning off all of them except the standard and formatting toolbar made Word XP work as I have been used to it working. I was able to read all screens and the whole document without a problem. I was able to backspace move between lines and all the things those extra toolbars seemed to prevent.
