This is outside the scope of the list, but it is not necessary to be sending
in html because the message when recieved will have the link in it as
active.  The only time you need to compose in html is if you want to send
mark up such as:
<a href="http://www.comcast.net";>go to comcast</a>
and only have it show up as
go to comcast

Additionally, you cam embed images and scripts as well.

Hi Folks,

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I do believe to create  an active link
in a message from a URL, you must be sending your message in HTML format.
If you send using plain text, no conversion will take place.

You can either copy it or type it in.  It has to be mailed before it will
work as a link.  If you want to see what I mean, type a link in a message
and mail it to yourself, and then you will see that it works.
