I suspect that Peter's friends are seeing this message in their in-box this morning. A friend of mine had her email and FaceBook accounts hacked a few months ago, and she had quite a time getting it all straightened out. They used personal information they had learned from reading her FaceBook entries to make the message more believable. Posting to those social networking sites is like telling all the burglars in the country when you're leaving on vacation.
