Hi,
Kind of an aside to this msg, jaws for dos, and speech, i read years and
years back about it being able to support software speech. Can anyone
confirm this and tell me what i'd have to get. Since i don't have a hardware
synth anymore, and machines are coming without floppy i could get make a
bootable CD with jaws for dos and software synth support on it, that would
work in this case.

As I stated in my original post, albeit obviously not clearly enough, one
can create a bootable DOS disc and place image for dos and a batch file on
that disc which will do a restore automatically. Or, one can create a dos
boot disc and place on that disc a copy of image for dos and a dos screen
reading program of one's choice. This latter method requires a hardware
synth of which several are available.
You can download a 30 day trial of image for windows if you wish to check it
out further.
