Re: Gmail and JAWS

Hi Sameer:

Did you find the Gmail tool accessible with JAWS? If so, did you have to do anything special? For some reason, I can't do anything with either cursor. Any help would be appreciated, thanks, Deb. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sameer" <salatey@xxxxxxxxx>

Dear Alicia,

Gmail is very much accessible with JAWS. You can set up your Outlook Express
to send and receive messages with GMail. GMail has a small tool on it's
website that will configure Outlook Express for you.

If you want to access GMail online, you will need to click on "Basic HTML"
to make it accessible with JAWS. But once Basic HTML is enabled, GMail is
very much accessible - even more than Yahoo! Mail.

I have been using GMail through Outlook Express and also through it's web
interface for over a year now and have not faced any serious accessibility
problems.

Subject: Gmail and JAWS

Hello, Everyone:

Does anyone know if gmail through Google is accessible with JAWS? I am
interested in using it for school and private use, because I can access it
anywhere, but I want it to be useable with JAWS so I can access it. I have
not had any good luck with Yahoo Mail so decided I might try this one out. I
would be interested in any feedback about the gmail services and the
accessibility with JAWS.
