Dear Dana:
Thank you for contacting Freedom Scientific Support.
we will look into changing this behavior in a future version of JAWS but for
now about all you can do is change the message voice to the same voice of
Reed for the PC cursor. You will still hear the link, end link though it
will be in the PC cursor voice.
This is actually a feature to alert the user where the beginning and end of
a link is especially if it is embedded in the middle of text in case they
wish to copy and paste it without getting other text.
If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Thank you for choosing Freedom Scientific!

Subject: Link/End Link Announcement in OE Editor
In JAWS 9.0, every time I focus on an active link in the OE message
editor, JAWS announces "link," in a high pitched voice; and, when I move
away from the link, it announces "end link," in the same high pitch. It
does this ONLY in the message editor, NOT in the message reading window.
This seems to be new in 9.0.
Can anyone please tell me how to disable this announcement altogether, and
not just the pitch change?
Thank you.
Blessed Be,
Dana
