Filling in Tables?

Hi,
How do I fill in tables that have been created in either Word or Excel, with
JFW?
And, when entering data into a table, how do I know which column and row I'm
on? For example, if there are three columns, name, race, DOB, how do I know
that I'm entering the age and date of birth, in the right columns, when I
get to subsequent rows?
