Re: FS In Good Company

Hello Yardbird,

their seems too be another source regarding this subject. My girlfriend, is on a list called handigirl, and that's how I heard about this information. One of the things that I'm woried about with this move, is the fact that perhaps, many of the blind people who worked for them, will soon be out of a job. And, if their is a jaws soft ware program in the future, that any tech support that we need will be out sourced, and thus the people that they may hirer, won't know anything about the program at all. Someone also told me through researching it, that this company may be a middle Easterncompany. Hope that I don't get into any trouble for posting this too you on list, But I'm a little concerned with the state of affairs here. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Yardbird" <yardbird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Respectfully, Adrian, I must disagree. I believe people should tell us where
they've gotten information that they're discussing with such concern.
Attribution is very important. I wouldn't have had to ask anything in the
first place if just one person had said that he'd gotten the news from a
company blog and that for some reason he was inclined to disbelieve it. I
don't know why you're so put out, but I think my interest is perfectly
legitimate. If you don't, sorry. Let a hundred flowers bloom and so forth.
it's a very big courtyard. In the spring. Tra la, tra la. Two points for the
source of that allusion.

Why, oh why, must a nitpicky angle like this be flogged to death? I'd gladly skip messages with this subject line, but the fate of FS is important, which means getting stuck on these side roads going nowhere. It would be hard for a moderator to impose limitations because the angle is technically on-topic, so it's up to us to use some judgment to show respect for each other's time.

Rick, no one said on this list that the news had come from a company blog,
not from an official statement or press release. I had to learn that from
another mailing list. So you see why I wondered why all the doubt? Thanks.

I felt like it. I wanted to be sure anything I pass around is a fact and not
a rumor.

Again, I'll ask why you did that? Did you suspect it was false information?
If so, why? Thanks.

Hi Dennis,

It was posted to Wafra's site but they have since apparently pulled the
press release for some reason.

It's interesting why none of this is on their site.

Well now that means I guess that if the key on your fs cabinit doesn't work, and the key card doesn't work they can send you free furnature and bed. It's
pretty crazy what come companies own. However it probably still makes more
sense then mergers of bankrupt airlines.
