Hi,
 
A sample formula would be:
 
=sum(c2:c50)
 
Written out:  equals sign sum left parentheses c2 colon c50 right
parentheses
 
In this example, you are summing column C, rows 2 through 50.  
 
To read (and edit) a formula that is in a cell, press F2.  When you are done
reading or editing the formula, press enter.

Guys, I've forgotton how to add/sum a column of cells in excel.  Can someone
please refresh my memory of how to do this and how to read the formulas with
jfw?
