Hi Katrina, Here's what to do if you have OpenBook: 1. Open the PDF file in Acrobat Reader. 2. Open OpenBook 3. Alt Tab back into Acrobat reader. 4. Press CTRL+P as if you were going to print the document. This should place you in a Printer name combo box. 5. Press up or down arrow until you come to "Freedom Import Printer" 6. Shift tab twice to the okay button and press enter. 7. OpenBook should begin processing the document. Depending on the number of pages this may take a while. 8. Once the processing is complete you should be able to read the PDF document in OpenBook. 9. If you wish to have a Word (.doc) copy of the file just go to "Launch" and choose "Word". I had tried to open the file in Open Book but that didn't work at all. You said to open the file and run OCR on it. Can you explain that a bit more? How do I run OCR on it? If you have OpenBook or K1000 you should be able to open the file and run OCR on it and then read it in either program. These documents are sent via the same individual. Every time I try to open the file Jaws reports an empty document. At the same time I hear Jaws say something about processing 5 out of 6 pages (as an example that is). The documents certainly aren't empty...Jaws just isn't reading them. One of these documents was scanned into a computer so it could be E-mailed to me. I'm not sure about the other document though. I'm using Adobe Reader 8.1, JFW 8, and Windows Media Center. I clicked on the Adobe option to ensure accessible features were appropriate and was informed there was no text in the document...possibly meaning this was a scanned image. I've been able to access PDF documents in the past with pretty good success...typically converting them to a TXT file. What is different this time and is there anything I can do to help Jaws deal with these documents? Katrina
