Well, one solution is the firefox extention ePubreader for reading books in
the ePub format. It works quite well with JFW.

Subject: Ebook Accessibility
Hi All,
Have a question about ebooks. Are the ebooks any closer to being
accessible by JAWS? I have a friend who might have to purchase an ebook for a
Literature course she is taking. She can't seem to find the book on bookshare
or RFB&D. She is using JAWS 11 and Windows Vista.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
PS. She is also using Adobe Reader 9.
