Yes, JAWS does go to that letter but does not read every letter. There are choices among the options beginning with the same letter. When one hits "a" JAWS should read the letter a if JAWS reads the letters i and e. JAWS should read the letter o which it does not read now. It is the case that we are 4 versions into using Insert + 4 and it would be nice if it worked better. Have a fineday. ----- Original Message ----- From: "TerriLynne" <terri_lynne@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, February 21, 2005 5:03 PM Subject: Re: Do all alphabet letters work using "insert 4" for foreign language symbols > When I press insert+4 and then hit a letter, jaws goes to the letter I > have > hit. > > TerriLynne Pomeroy > Student advisor > www.bvisu.org > ----- Original Message ----- > From: <ptusing@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Monday, February 21, 2005 12:28 PM > Subject: Re: Do all alphabet letters work using "insert 4" for foreign > language symbols > > >> Thanks for asking. >> IN my case, when using insert + 4, when I hit "a" or "o", I hear >> nothing. >> There are about 21 things inthat list view and it would be nice if JAWS >> read them all. >> This feature has been around for 4 versionsand one should not have to up >> arrow to know where one is located as to which accented letter has >> been >> chosen--if one uses a lot of accents and wants to work quickly. >> >> >> ----- Original Message ----- >> From: "KStarrett" <kstarrett5@xxxxxxxxxxx> >> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> >> Sent: Monday, February 21, 2005 2:21 PM >> Subject: RE: Do all alphabet letters work using "insert 4" for foreign >> language symbols >> >> >>> Hi, >>> >>> You said, >>> >>>> Try using insert + 4 and hitting the letter "a" for example >>>> to find foreign language accent marks.
