This solution also works with one or two modifications: Insert F-11 for system tray. Downarrow to McAfee security center and press your right mouse button. Downarrow to Mcafee firewall submenu. Rightarrow once to open the submenu. Uparrow once for the disable firewall option and press enter. On my system I have to use Windows Key M to get back to the desktop. ----- Original Message ----- From: G.W. Down arrow to firewall and enter on that. Down arrow to disable and hit enter. Better yet, Debbie has scripts for it on the programs page of www.jfwlite.com With the script, you will be able to read the "allow access" popup and plunk the magic plunker. ----- Original Message ----- From: Jim Talley To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, July 03, 2006 4:54 PM Subject: Fw: Disabling McAfee firewall Jim Talley (Coordinator) ASSISTIVE ASSOCIATES ----- Original Message ----- From: Jim Talley To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, July 01, 2006 5:44 PM Subject: Disabling McAfee firewall Hi Listers, I recently tried to download Jaws 7.1 but McAfee stopped on the install stage, and locked up the computer. the only thing I can think of is Disabling the McAfee firewall while downloading.
