You should be able to copy and paste any part of a digest message you wish to 
keep for future reference.

Another advantage to using a rule to put jfw list messages to their own
folder is, if you have a message you want to keep around for a while, like
something you say "hmmm maybe I'll try that in a day or 2"  yes you could
save the digest, but that's the hole digest and with my luck that message
would be at the bottom where as with just a folder for all the messages, you
just simply don't delete that one, or save that 1 message.  I've always done
it that way and it works very well for me.
