if you follow these instructions, some may have problems with web pages.
Also, the only one you need to uncheck if you want to see the colors is
"Ignore colors specified on web pages".

There is a setting within MSIE that will ignore the colors specified by web
designers. This will cause all pages to appear black on white no matter
what colors you specify within your document.
This is easily disabled by following these steps:
1. open the tools menu of MSIE
2. Press ENTER on "Internet Options"
3. TAB to "Accessibility" and press ENTER
4. Uncheck all the options within this dialog.
5. TAB to OK and press the SPACEBAR to close the Accessibility Dialog
6. TAB to OK and press the SPACEBAR to close the Internet Options
