Thanks for the response.

Do you know that their web site says it is fully functional (implied
with any screen reader) via the USB interface?

Also, note to laptop users, if it's not functional via the USB port as
advertised, it has no built-in battery like the older express, so it
looks like you won't be able to use it at all unless you can rig some
sort of power supply.
