Re: Control Key with Vista & Jaws 8

The control key stops speech on both JAWS 8 and 9 on my system. Could it be the control key is malfunctioning? If so, a new keyboard would solve the problem. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Hallsworth" <christopherhallsworth71@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi, perhaps upgrading to JAWS 9 will solve this problem since I don't have this problem under this version of JAWS, version 9. Hope that helps.

I'm using a new computer with Vista Home Premium and Jaws version 8.

With both my wireless keyboard and my laptop keyboard, I'm finding that the control key isn't turning the speech off. I just can't silence Jaws with the control key on either keyboard.

I have the layout set for laptop and the caps lock is off.

Any ideas on what could be causing the problem?

Thanks.
