Checking choices in View menu problem

Hi, My View menu in Outlook Distress keeps changing.
When trying to restore the 'descending' view, I cannot get JAWS to activate
the check box.
This is with 6.0.
Is there a trick to fix this or is it a bug? Thanks as always, Mitch
