RE: Cable vs DSL with JFW

I hardly ever use the comcast website for anything at all.  You don't need 
all this special software they want you to run, you just don't need it at all.
If anyone reading this is considering Comcast cable internet but you are 
worried that  it won't work with JAWS, i'll tell you from first hand 
experience, it is fine. If the tech comes to your house and wants to 
install the software, tell them not to, and to just set up your connection, 
in techy terms they call it a dhcp connection.  So if he does that and then 
he registers your cable modem you should be just fine. You can then 
continue using your computer as normal, the only difference is the internet 
is about a million times more fun with broadband.
