Hey I just tried this scenario using Magic, which uses Eloquence speech
engine just like JAWS does, and NOT ONLY did it crash Eloquence, it also
froze my screen! Here is what I did.

I opened Word and pulled up a blank screen. I typed in a simple sentence
such as "now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their
country." And then I continued typing "I want to type the word" (and then I
put in the word c a e s u r e without all the spaces, and after the word
finished the sence with the phrase "to see what happens."

When I read it back using document reader, so that I could see on screen
which word the system was reading, Eloquence crashed all right, but it
crashed ahead of the word "c a e s u r e ". In fact, it crashed on the word
"the" as in "the word" before the oddly spelled word.

this leads me to suspect the problem is somehow related to this word getting
into the buffer and therein lies a clue to the cure.

I will send this info on to FS.

I have not tried this directly with JAWS but I can now corroborate that this
problem also exists in Magic.
