I can reproduce the crash of jaws. The send error report screen comes up =
and
alt-d will dismiss it so I can then do ctrl-alt-j to start jaws again. =
The
combination of letters that brings about the crash is c a e s u r e, =
which
is a misspelling, but jaws shouldn't be that picky about spelling. I did
have to fight a strong temptation to send the word on the list and crash =
a
few thousand people's copies of jaws, so be proud of me. Let's just hope
that all the other list members have scruples as well. I think I will =
switch
to dectalk access 32 for a while just to be on the safe side.

Well, I just tried it several times and it didn't crash. And I can =
honestly
say that in my 6 years of using different computers and the various =
versions
of Jaws. I've never seen Jaws crash because of the spelling of a word. =
This
is all news to me. I just don't see how it's possible. Combinations of
letters are nothing but sounds, and jaws just pronounces, or tries to
pronounce what it sees. Now, why a curtain group of letters and sounds
could cause Jaws to crash just doesn't make sense. I'm not saying that =
it
can't happen, but the likelihood of it happening is nearly impossible.
