Hi Barry,
Try the following:
Poplar applications with Jaws in the Jaws help topics,
the text editing link at:

or the Tips and tricks page at:

Subject: Bookmarks in MS Word?

Hi folks, I'm using Word 2000 and JAWS v6. I am working with a document containing 47 tables. Is there a feature that will allow me to set bookmarks for specific tables or cells, similar to the one that allows you to set bookmarks for points on web pages in later versions of JAWS?

In order to move quickly around the document, I would like to be able to pull up a list of the points in the document where I work and, ideally, have the items in the list tagged with my own labels. I know that i can do list control+ins+T to get a list of the tables, but as they are just numbered, this is of little help.

Anny suggestions?

All the best,
Barry G

This has come up before. Go to verbosity (JAWS-V) and go to simple
layout (it's at or near the top). Toggle it to screen layout, and
you'll get what you're looking for.

Subject: reading tables with multiple columns on the internet

Hi All,
I don't need to read tables very often but with the virtual cursor on,
the
way that it appears to be layed out is that the column headers are lined
up
under each other then underneath that is the information from each
column,
again with each column lined up under each other instead of across the
page.
When there are 5 or 6 columns or more this makes it difficult at best to

keep track of the information. Is there any way to format these tables
so
that they are easier to read? Also can anybody tell me where to find a
list
of key strokes for navigating tables?

Thanks.
Troy
