Francis, I'm not clear as to what you mean below. I, also, use the Google search quite a bit. But I've apparently made myself oblivious to Jaws saying "block quote" while I'm on a Google page, because I've never noticed anything meaningful that I could figure out about that announcement. In my experience, the search results are numbered, and each numbered item contains the link to that source, and sometimes to a cache version of it, and also sometimes to related links, as you say. But I never imagined that whether or not some blocks of the text were indented might be a meaningful signal to a sighted user. Have I been missing some useful information about Google result listings? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Francis Daniels" <fdaniels@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, March 06, 2005 9:32 AM Subject: Re: Block Quote, on or off I like having the block quote announcement on when I'm working in Google. The results page will sometimes show, via block quote indents, related results to my query. If I had block quote off, I would not know this. Yes, sometimes some of the things JAWS says can be redundant or not related to what I am doing. However, when I am exploring a new site, I like to know as much as I can. The more I know, the more I can enjoy the site.
