Thanks for the tips. I called a neighbor, who came over and helped me do a
JAWS repair. Now it's working just fine. But, I'll keep your information
for future use and hope I don't need it any time soon! >Smile<

cindy, when jaws does not display a language menu it usually means that it
is not seeing the sound card. Try these two things,
1 go in to control pannel and look under sound and audio devices and under
the audio tab, make sure that your sound is chosen for the default device
under playback.
2 also in control pannel, under speech, make sure it is set to microsoft.
these are two things you can start with.
