You have to turn the music down, that means you have to first use the wav
out plug-in, and then, go to alternative volume control in it's
configuration. That will work, though it won't be quite as responsive.

When playing sound file such as a piece of music for example, how do I
bring up eloquence louder so that I can hear it over the music? For
instance, I'm using winamp to play the music on my laptop but when I have
to issue a jaws command I can barely hear it?
