Hi Patricia. This is happening in OE. I have messages grouped by conversation. 
Whenever I come across a group of the messages with the same subject field, 
Jaws says "collapsed.....Person name......collapsed, then message subject".
When going from the first message in that group to the second message, then it 
says Expanded....person name....expanded.
Very strange.
